Don Kiepert, President and Chief Executive Officer

Don KiepertDon Kiepert was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of Lantheus Medical Imaging in early 2008, bringing an extensive background in pharmaceuticals and health care to the company. Prior to joining Lantheus, Mr. Kiepert was the founder and former Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Point Therapeutics. He also served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Chartwell Home Therapies, a home infusion services company, from 1989 to 1996.  Additionally, Mr. Kiepert started and managed several health care companies and worked in various management positions at Baxter Travenol, Inc. after receiving his M.S. degree in clinical pharmacy from Purdue University.


Larry Pickering, Chairman

Larry Pickering brings over 36 years of operating management experience to his role as Executive Chairman of Lantheus Medical Imaging. Prior to joining the company, Mr. Pickering served as Chairman of DLJMB Global Healthcare Partners. He began his career in healthcare with Johnson and Johnson where he served in a variety of positions of increasing responsibility. He served as President of Ortho Dermatology, President of Janssen Pharmaceuticals and Chairman of Janssen North America, Company Group Chairman, Worldwide OTC. His final position was Chairman of Johnson and Johnson Development corporation and was responsible for large mergers and acquisitions and a Corporate Officer. Mr. Pickering retired from Johnson & Johnson, where he served 32 years. He holds a B.A. degree in Business Administration from the University of Missouri. He is currently a Partner with Avista Capital and responsible for Healthcare Investments in this private equity firm.


Peter Card, Vice President, Corporate Development

Peter CardPeter Card was appointed Vice President, Corporate Development of Lantheus Medical Imaging in 2008.  Throughout his more than 20 years with the company and its predecessors, Mr. Card has held a variety of roles including Vice President, U.S. Marketing and Business Development.  Most recently, Mr. Card served as Vice President, Strategy and Business Development.  Mr. Card holds a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from Ohio State University and completed additional post-doctoral work at Harvard University.


William Dawes, Vice President, Manufacturing and Supply Chain

William DawesWilliam Dawes was appointed Vice President, Manufacturing and Supply Chain of Lantheus Medical Imaging in 2008. He brings nearly 15 years of manufacturing expertise to his position, most recently serving as General Manager, Medical Imaging Technical Operations for Bristol-Myers Squibb Medical Imaging. Mr. Dawes began his career with DuPont Merck Pharmaceuticals where he built a strong operations background through positions of increasing responsibility in the areas of packaging, manufacturing and project engineering. Mr. Dawes received a Bachelors degree in Engineering from Hofstra University.


Michael P. Duffy, Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary

Michael P. DuffyMike Duffy joined Lantheus Medical Imaging as Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary in 2008. Prior to joining Lantheus, he served as Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of Point Therapeutics, Inc., a Boston-based biopharmaceutical company. He has also served as General Counsel and in other leadership positions for several technology companies in the Boston area and in Washington, D.C. Mr. Duffy began his legal career with Ropes & Gray in Boston and holds law degrees from the University of Pennsylvania and Oxford University and an undergraduate degree from Harvard College.


Robert Gaffey, Vice President, Finance and IT

Robert GaffeyRobert Gaffey brings more than 30 years of experience to his role as Vice President, Finance, IT and Operations, having served Lantheus Medical Imaging and its predecessors since 1987. Mr. Gaffey has held multiple positions including Vice President Finance, Operations and General Manager Billerica site and most recently Vice President Finance and Operations. He began his career with E.I. DuPont de Nemours upon completion of his undergraduate work at Bentley College. Mr. Gaffey also holds an MBA from Widener University.


Philip Lockwood, Vice President, Human Resources

Philip LockwoodPhilip Lockwood brings more than two decades of service in senior Human Resources positions to his role as Vice President, Human Resources. He most recently served as Vice President, HR, for Indevus Pharmaceuticals, Inc. after holding a senior HR position at EMD Serono and its predecessor, Serono Inc. Mr. Lockwood holds a B.A. degree from Siena College and served as a lieutenant in U.S. Navy before starting his career in Human Resources.


David Mann, Vice President, Quality, Operations and Professional Relations

David MannDavid Mann brings 35 years of experience in the medical imaging field to his role as Vice President, Quality, Operations and Professional Relations. After beginning his career with New England Nuclear Corporation in 1975, Mr. Mann has served the company in roles of increasing responsibility, most recently as Vice President, Sales and Marketing. He holds a B.S. in Chemistry and Biology Technology from Northeastern University.


Simon Robinson, Vice President, Research and Pharmaceutical Development

Simon RobinsonSimon Robinson has served as our Vice President Research and Pharmaceutical Development since 2010.  He has held positions of increasing responsibility with the company for imaging agent discovery for more than 10 years. Dr. Robinson has more than 20 years of industrial experience in molecular targeted small molecule development with research positions at Bristol Myers Squibb, Sphinx Pharmaceuticals, BASF and Dupont Pharmaceuticals. He has a Ph.D. and B.Sc. in Pharmacology from the University of Leeds, England and did post-doctoral training at the University of Wisconsin Clinical Cancer Center.


Robert A. Spurr, Vice President, Sales and Marketing

Robert A. SpurrRobert Spurr joined Lantheus Medical Imaging in 2010 as Vice President, Sales and Marketing.  Prior to joining Lantheus, he served as Vice President Sales and Marketing, Institutional Franchise at Ortho-McNeil, a pharmaceuticals division of Johnson and Johnson.  Earlier at Ortho-McNeil, he was Vice President Strategic Business Group, North America and prior to that, he held positions of increasing responsibility at Aventis Pharmaceuticals and Novartis Pharmaceuticals.  Mr. Spurr received a B.S. degree from Keene State College and holds an M.B.A. from Rutgers.


Mary Taylor, Vice President, Global Regulatory Affairs

Mary E. TaylorMary E. Taylor joined Lantheus Medical Imaging in 2009 as Vice President, Global Regulatory Affairs.  Ms. Taylor has worked for nearly 30 years in biotech and pharmaceutical organizations where she has directed drug development programs leading to approval of many new therapies. Prior to joining Lantheus, she held executive positions at Tolerx, Curagen and Bayer Healthcare.  Ms. Taylor was previously with Parke-Davis, Division of Warner-Lambert  Company which was acquired by Pfizer Inc. She has a B.S.  in Biochemistry from Michigan State University and a Master’s degree in Public Health from the University of Michigan.


Cyrille Villeneuve, Vice President and General Manager, International

Cyrille VilleneuveCyrille Villeneuve has served Lantheus Medical Imaging and its predecessors for over 20 years, bringing program management expertise to his role as General Manager for the company’s operations in Canada, Latin America and the Pacific Rim. Prior to joining the company in 1985, Mr. Villeneuve held positions at the Montreal Heart Institute and Hospital Hotel-Dieu Montreal. He holds a B.A. from Montreal University and a Master’s degree in Public Administration from ENAP.


Dana S. Washburn, M.D., Vice President, Clinical Development and Medical Affairs

Dana Washburn, M.D. joined Lantheus Medical Imaging in 2010 as Vice President, Clinical Development and Medical Affairs.  Dr. Washburn brings to the company 15 years of leadership experience in cardiology, medical devices and diagnostics.  Before joining Lantheus, he was Vice
President, Clinical Trials and Safety, and Medical Safety Officer at Boston Scientific Corporation. Prior to his eight-year tenure at Boston Scientific, Dr. Washburn was a Cardiologist at the Framingham Heart Center and also served as Assistant Director of the Cardiovascular Hemodynamic and Imaging Laboratory at Tufts-New England Medical Center.  Dr. Washburn holds an M.D. from the University of Massachusetts Medical School and is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology.
